4 Sept 2010. Although we got the B&B door code right after a walk the previous evening it became a problem in the morning after taking a few early morning photos. The landlady seemed unimpressed that the code could be forgotten. Husband was similarly austere when returning the room key. A leisurely trip across the most southerly Rockies crossing in Canada, Crows-Nest Pass which is neither steep or very high at 1396m and northward on Highway 22 toward Calgary ensued. High Cactus Ranche B&B had a grand sounding name much above its looks but is very spacious and clean inside. The owners were just off for a few days and left us to help ourselves which we did well. No locks or keys to worry about. Spruce Meadows is just down the road and we called in to check out the Sunday program.
Next Champions Welcome show at Spruce Meadows for a Wrold Cup Qualifier (show Jumping) and Spruce Meadows Masters - the best show jumping event on earth.
